Two Rooms
Two Rooms is split EP with greek musicians Anna Maria Rammou. We met at KSYME – Contemporary Music Research Center in Athens in 2019 and discussed working on a future audio publication and then forget that idea for a couple of years. She was studiying there and I was doing a residency for the State Music project. For ‘Two Rooms’, we both composed an electronic piece (‘In a room AMR or LG’) and both of us also recorded the sonic environment audible from our own home studios (‘From a room AMR or LG’).
As we were not able to work in the same physical space because of the pandemic and the distance, listening to these recordings allowed us to imagine what a visit to each other’s studio might have sounded and felt like. We then asked our friends from Copypasta to help us publishins an physical release and Emma Souharce wanted to experiment with engravement on a collection of postcards.
Special thanks to Copypasta for the release and Cave12 for hosting the release party and inviting Anna-Maria Rammou to come to Switzerland so we could play as a duo for the first and only time yet.
